9/11 Memorial Ceremony Set For Monday

(A Message From The Robertson County Emergency Medical Services)

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – “We hope everyone will spend some time today to pause in honor of those that lost their lives so that others might live on September 11, 2001.

Of the 411 responders, 343 were FDNY fire and EMS personnel, 60 were law enforcement officers, and 8 were EMTs and Paramedics from private ambulance services.

These individuals were willing to answer the call that morning. They were unaware it would be their final alarm.

The 9/11 Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday at 0800 at the Robertson County Office Complex in Springfield.”  Robertson County Emergency Medical Services.

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Lt Richard Thomas was a New York City Firefighter on 9/11.  Lt Richard Thomas  drove up to Robertson County last year to hand deliver a piece of 9/11 steel from New York’s ground zero to Mitch & Dayna Lancaster, Springfield Carpet One and to personally thank them for their generous support of the  “Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers” Foundation.

Members of the community and the media were present to witness the historic occasion. The video report above of Lt Richard Thomas provides first-hand incite on that day.
