Adams Teen Hospitalized After Crash On Toby Darden
ADAMS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A teen driver was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville after she lost control of her vehicle and collided with a tree, head-on.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the driver just received her drivers license three weeks ago and inexperience was the likely cause of the accident. From what we could see at the scene, the driver found one of the worst curves in Robertson County, a right hand hairpin turn going downhill on gravel.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol indicated that the teen driver will not be facing any tickets or charges, just calling it operator inexperience. The accident occurred just passed 5 PM Sunday on Toby Darden Road. (Location of accident)
The THP also indicated that drugs, alcohol or distracted driving were not considered to be factors, it was just a sharp curve that turned out to be too much for the inexperienced driver. Officials told Smokey Barn News that the teen was banged up pretty good but sustained no life-threatening injuries.
If we receive any updates on the teen’s condition we will bring it to you.
