Get Ready For Back To School

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Saturday, July 22nd from 10-2pm is our 2nd Annual Free Health Fair at the Stokes Brown Public Library.

Throughout our library we will have healthcare businesses providing FREE services getting your whole family ready for school and learning.

Whether homeschool or public school, we are helping families get physically and mentally ready.

We have free haircuts, eye exams, hearing checks, teeth sealants, skin checks, shoe care, blood pressure, sugar checked, and much, much more.

Sales Tax Holiday:

This year’s tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 28 and ends Sunday, July 30 at 11:59 p.m.

The state of Tennessee’s annual sales tax holiday is held every year, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the last Friday in July and ending at 11:59 p.m. the following Sunday night. During this weekend, certain goods may be purchased tax free.

July 22 Back To School/Book Bag Giveaway Event

Hosted by RiverGate Mall

Saturday, July 22 at 11 AM – 2 PM

RiverGate Mall – 1000 Rivergate Pkwy, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072

Center Court (near Gloria Jean’s Coffees and Kay Jewelers)

Join us for our 4th Annual Back to School Event!

300 Book Bags filled with supplies will be handed out to students in grades 1-5*
*Must visit each vendor to have punch card signed off on before book bag will be handed out. The completed punch card will also enter you for a chance to win some cool giveaways. Child must be present to receive book bag/supplies.

Activities will include: face painter, balloon artist, bounce house, live entertainment character meet & greet with the Web-Slinger and Princess Belle.

Mayor Bradley’s Back To School Bash is

July 29 at Springfield Middle School from 9 to 11.

All Robertson County students are invited! There were over 1000 children with the line wrapping all the way around the football field last year!

First 1000 Students receive a FREE Backpack

This will be a FREE event for families and children across Robertson County to learn about their resources offered by area businesses and acquire school supplies and other needs for the upcoming school year.
