Another Springfield Resident Robbed At Gunpoint 

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Wednesday August 13 at 10:21 P.M. Springfield Officers were dispatched to area of 7001 R. W. Gordon Drive in regards to an armed robbery.

When officers arrived they spoke to male victim who stated he was sitting inside his vehicle, parked in the parking lot in front of the apartment buildings of 7002 and 7001 R.W. Gordon, and was approached by two black male subjects.

The victim stated one of the suspects, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jean pants and unknown color bandanna covering the lower part of his face, pointed a small caliber, black, semi-auto handgun at him and demanded his money.

The victim told police  that one of the suspects reached in and grabbed his cell phone and wallet, while the second suspect, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jean pants and an unknown color bandanna covering the lower part of his face, appeared to be a look-out. The victim stated that both suspects then fled in different directions and the suspect with the handgun dropped the wallet on the ground.

The suspects escaped with about $100.00 dollars from the wallet and his cell phone. Police used a K9 unit to search for the suspect with the handgun. The search lead across the street and up behind the 6000 buildings. The dog lost track of the suspect in the area of 8002 to 8004 R.W. Gordon.

According to Springfield Police Chief David Thompson, “These individuals are dangerous and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets more seriously injured or shot, we’d like to get them off the streets.” Anyone with any information about these robberies is encouraged to contact Springfield Police at 615-384-8422 or Crime Stoppers at 615-382-3799. All information is anonymous and Crime stoppers will pay up to $1000.00 for information that leads to an arrest.
