Arson Blamed For Fire At Old Greenbrier Wood Mill

FullSizeRender (5)Officials say a 30 by 40 foot structure located at North Star Lumber was deliberately set on fire. The facility is located at 2275 South Mt Pleasant rd in Greenbrier. MAP

Officials tell Smokey the facility has been closed for about ten years. The facility sits far off the main road and is surrounded by trees making it impossible to see from the street.

The call came into 911 at 3:23am Saturday morning. Fire crews from Millersville, White House and Greenbrier all responded to the fire. The 2000 foot driveway leading up to the facility is in poor condition which made it problematic for anything less than four wheel drive vehicles to access the structure.

The small structure is a total loss.

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office will be in charge of the investigation.
