Cedar Hill Park Alleged Armed Robbery, One Of Two In Custody

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 8:00pm on Sunday February 21, deputies  were called to the Cedar Hill Park MAP regarding a male subject that had been injured in an armed robbery.

Upon arrival,  the victim told deputies that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two suspects, one of which the victim knew..

The victim told police that the suspects put a gun to his head and  assaulted him before taking his wallet, which contained about $480 in cash.

On Monday, less than 10 hours after the alleged robbery,  Dontarius Long, 20, of Springfield, was taken into custody in connection with the case and charged with Aggravated Robbery and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Long was booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility with a total bond set at $251,500. The juvenile is still at large but his identity is known to police and the victim.

The sheriff’s office has not released the name or a description of the juvenile.

“I am very proud of our team for their quick response on this case,” said Chief Deputy Michael Van Dyke. “From the time we were notified of the robbery, our team had investigated and made an arrest within 10 hours.”

“We take pride in our partnership with the citizens of Robertson County and our joint stance that violent crime will not be tolerated in our community,” said Chief Van Dyke.
