Cindy Corbin Cothern Of Cedar Hill Dies In Trike Accident, She Was 56
CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Cindy Corbin Cothern of Cedar Hill lost her life Saturday in a tragic motorcycle accident, she Was 56.
The accident occurred Saturday just before 1:30 p.m. while she was riding with her husband on Natchez Trace Parkway in Maury County. Officials say the accident occurred near milepost 410, near Duck River, TN. MAP U.S. Park Rangers, Maury County Sheriff and Tennessee Highway Patrol responded.
The vehicle, a Harley Davidson trike motorcycle, was operated by Phillip Cothern, 54, of Cedar Hill, TN. His wife Cynthia Cothern, 56, also of Cedar Hill, was a rear passenger on the motorcycle trike.
Officials say it appeared that as the motorcycle was northbound on the Parkway it left the roadway and struck a tree. The collision fatally injured Cynthia Cothern, her husband, Phillip Cothern, was transported by air ambulance to the Vanderbilt Trauma Center. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Agencies assisting with the collision included the Maury County Sheriff’s Department, Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Funeral services for Cindy will be conducted Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Michael Corbin, The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Mrs. Cothern was born September 2, 1959 in Robertson County to Betty Evans Corbin and the late Porte Wade Corbin, Jr. She was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church where she was active with the Celebrate Recovery Program and worked as New Student Coordinator at Spartan College of Aeronautics.
