Driver Arrested After Rollover Accident On North Oak St In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) Police are investigating a rollover accident that occurred in Springfield early Sunday morning. The wreck occurred on N. Oak St. near the intersection of West 4th Ave. (Location of wreck)

The call came into 911 a few minutes past midnight that a vehicle had impacted a parked car and overturned. No one was injured in the accident. The driver reported to police that a dog ran out in front of his vehicle.

Two witnesses told Smokey Barn News that they did see an untethered medium sized dog in that area about an hour before the accident.

The driver was given a field sobriety test at the scene and then taken into custody under suspicion of DUI.. For more information see video report.
