First Responders Recognized For Outstanding Service

Four Greenbrier Firefighters and one Greenbrier Police Officer were recognized by Robertson County EMS during the April 2015 Greenbrier Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meeting on April 6th, 2015.

The certificate of appreciation was awarded to Greenbrier Firefighters: Lieutenant carpet samples 300 adJustin Hardway (not pictured), beginning far left in the picture: Firefighter (Engineer) Mike Williamson, Firefighter (Engineer) Steven Smith, Firefighter Tyler Smith, and Greenbrier Police Officer Brian Speer.

The certificate says “In recognition of outstanding performance during a cardiac arrest response call on January 19th, 2015.”

Cardiac arrest calls are very stressful and labor intensive. They involve the performance of CPR, assisting EMS with patient care, scene safety, and getting the ambulance to the emergency room safely. The working relationship between all of these agencies mentioned here is outstanding only because of the people involved having a willingness to work closely and effectively together for the good of the public.

“In this case these individuals did an outstanding job working together as a team with a level of professionalism that shows superior dedication to their service and more importantly, the community. I want everyone to know what a great job our public safety personnel (Fire, Police, EMS) are doing in Greenbrier,” Kyle Hamill, Fire Chief Greenbrier Fire Department
