PPL Southern Nationals, What Does It Mean To Robertson County (Take A Look A This Incredible Event)

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – The PPL Southern Nationals came to Robertson County for the first time this Saturday. The event was held at the Robertson County Fairgrounds and represents a new chapter in the rich history of truck and tractor pulling in the Robertson County area.

Four classes met, ARP Light Weight Super Stocks, Optima Batteries Super Modified TWD Trucks and ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks running for Champions Tour points. Protect the Harvest Pro Stock Tractors joined those three classes, running for Ag Protect1 Mid West Region recognition.

The ARP Light Weight Super Stock Class had its’ final 2015 stop in Springfield, with the blazing pair of Korth/Chizek “Armed and Dangerous” themed CaseIH entries tied for the points lead with Jason Hootman’s “Commander” Ford just behind.

Smokey Barn news was there and captured much of the event. We also met with Bob Barbee who played a roll in preparing Robertson County for the event as well as getting it here. Barbee is also a competitor so he knows both sides of the event.
