Former White House Middle School Head Baseball Coach William Casteel Dies, He Was 64

38240202William Michael Casteel, age 64, of Greenbrier, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Alive Hospice Skyline Madison Campus. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at Noon in the chapel of the Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Mike Cummings and Brother Robert LeMay officiating. Burial will follow in the Robertson County Memorial Gardens with Coach Mark Mills, Cory Sullians, Cody Sullians, Cory Collins, Aussie Light, J.C. White, Ryan O’Neil, Kenny Carver, Connor Belvin, Jacob Upchurch and Jeffery Bennett, the White House Middle School Baseball Team, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 and Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 3-8pm and on Friday morning from 9am until the hour of service.

daddy picture #3Mr. Casteel was born June 14, 1949 in Robertson County to the late John William and Mozell Pass Casteel. He worked in management at AT&T, was the Head Coach of the White House Middle School and White House Little League Baseball Teams, was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a big supporter of the University of Tennessee Volunteers Football Team.

Mr. Casteel is survived by his wife, Melody Cilibrasi Casteel; son, John Michael (Kari) Casteel of Goodlettsville; daughter, Heather Casteel of Greenbrier; sisters, Phylis “Susie” Anderson of Atlanta, GA, Linda Gayle Qualls of Springfield and Cathy Casteel of Greenbrier; and grandchildren, John Michael “J” Casteel, Jr., Coleman Lee Casteel and Riley GraceLynn Casteel.
