Teacher At Heritage High Suspended For Allegations Of Misconduct

Smokey has learned that a White House Heritage High teacher has been suspended for three days pending an investigation into “allegations of misconduct” according to Robertson County School officials.

Officials are not saying anything about the alleged misconduct or even if they involved a student or a faculty member but in a conversation with Mike Davis,  Director of Schools for Robertson County,  he indicated that, “At this point, based on the information that has been provided in our investigation we have not been able to substantiate the allegations.”

The fact that official’s with Robertson County Schools have not contacted the police and the fact that the teacher was only suspended for three days at this point suggests that officials do not believe anyone was (or is) in any danger.

WSMV News 4 is reporting that the name of the teacher is Joe Armistead, a science teacher and assistant football coach at Heritage High School.

The Robertson County Schools official press statement:

“A Robertson County teacher has been suspended pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct. Once the investigation has been completed, additional information may be provided.”

Smokey will monitor the situation, if any new facts surface we will bring them to you.
