I24 & I65 Crashes Slow Traffic Into Robertson County

UPDATE: I24 now clear….. I65 North also clear.

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – We have two Interstate crashes affecting traffic coming into Robertson County from Nashville, one on I65 North involving an overturned tanker and another crash on I24 West involving a overturned tractor trailer..

UPDATE: I24 now clear.

The overturned tanker on Interstate 65 Northbound is at EXIT 108 just passed the White House exit.  Reported at 11:10 PM the crash is estimated to be cleared by 3:00 AM but that estimate was extended to 8:00am. According to officials, the tanker is leaking fuel. Northbound traffic is closed. Southbound traffic is clear with no delays.

UPDATE According to our news partner News Chanel 5, Police are diverting northbound traffic on I-65 in White House after the tanker truck was cut off and hit by the driver of a pickup truck. The tanker went off the road, spilling diesel fuel. The driver of the tanker was taken to Skyline with unknown injuries. The driver of the pickup truck took off on foot, News Channel 5 reports.

The crash on Interstate 24 was on the Westbound side of I24 at mile marker 29. Reported at 6:06 PM the crash  and was cleared by about 4:00 AM.

RECOMMENDATION: From Nashville, if you coming into the White House side of  Robertson County use Hwy 41 or Hwy 431.
