Obituary for Jennie Lee Henderson
Jennie Lee Henderson, age 90 of Springfield, TN died Saturday August 13, 2016 NHC Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday August 15, 2016 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral with Bro. Martin Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Greg Morris, Brad Morris, Chuck Wilkerson, Malcolm Wilkerson, Joseph Traughber, Terry Henderson, Jay Henderson and Mitch Henderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2pm until 6 pm and again on Monday from 11 am until the hour of service at 1 pm.
Mrs. Henderson was born on October 14, 1925 in Old Hickory, TN to the late Charlie Oscar and Jewell Allen Lee. She was a member of the Woodland Street UMC and loved sewing and gardening. Her husband, Ewell E. Henderson, brothers, Charles Samuel Lee and Walter Edward Lee and sisters, June Lee Ashley and Dorothy Lee Trent also preceded her in death.
Surviving her are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Henderson of Cross Plains, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret H. Morris of Spring Hill, TN and Donna H. and Charlie Wilkerson of Springfield, TN; sister-in-law, Wilma Lee of Springfield; brother-in-law, J.T. Trent of Michigan; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Robertson County Funeral Home Is In Charge Of Arrangements.
Obituary for Kenneth Edward Smith
Kenneth Edward Smith, 81, of Springfield, died Friday August 12, 2016 at NHC Place Sumner. Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Chase Smith, Ryan Entrekin, Blake Head, Clint Poole, Jeff Kimble, and Gerald Entrekin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith was born October 28, 1934 in Davidson County to the late William and Sarah Frizzell Smith. He retired as a Plant Manager with Georgia Durango and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed playing golf and mowing his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Poole Smith, and by his brothers: Monroe and Eugene Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Stephen and Tinnia Smith of Cottontown, daughters and sons-in-law: Melanie and Gerald Entrekin of Lawrenceville, GA, Marilyn Kraus of St. Augustine, FL, Corinne and Steve Head of Ball Ground, GA, grandchildren: Stephanie Smith, Chase Smith, Anne Marie Smith, Caitlyn Entrekin, Ryan Entrekin, Ashley Head, and Blake Head and sister: Barbara Carman of FL.
Geraldine M. Haley, 87, of Springfield, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her home. Funeral Services were conducted Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor John Poston Officiating. Interment followed in the Bellwood Cemetery with Andy Wilkerson, Jarrod Wilkerson, Branden Evans, Josh Evans, Rusty Haley and Henry Haley serving as Pallbearers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Rob Browning, Randy Perry, Del Perry, Jeff Burton and David Dickens, Jr. The family received friends on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.
Mrs. Haley was born on January 5, 1929 to the late William Haney and Geneva Dickson Lee. Mrs. Haley was a homemaker and was member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. She loved to take care of people, devoted life to her family and loved to cook.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Haley; her sons: Roy Vick Flemming and David Young Haley, her brothers: William Lee, and Jimmy Lee, her sister: Frances Arms, and her grandsons: Little Robert Henderson, Ashley Haley, Bobby Ray Perry; and her great grandson, Justin Huckabee.
Mrs. Haley is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Vicky Haley of Springfield, and Steven and Gayle Haley of Pleasant View, and Judi Haley of Greenbrier her daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara Yeakey of Nashville, Micky Burton and Lou Piche¢ of Nashville, Darla Wilkerson of Springfield, Linda Vick McKinney of Nashville, Terry and Robert Henderson of Springfield, Judy and William Wilson of Greenbrier, Wanda and Lewis Blackburn of Springfield, Connie Haley of Springfield, Sandra Roach of Coopertown, twenty-one Grandchildren, thirty-nine Great Grandchildren, and seven Great Great Grandchildren. Marjorie Clinard Wilson, 83, of Cedar Hill, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at Walking Horse Meadows in Clarksville. Graveside services were conducted Friday August 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery with Tim Harris officiating. The family received friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born December 30, 1932 in Robertson County to the late Thomas Irvin and Lena Rainwater Clinard. She was a homemaker and a member of Red River Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson loved gardening, flowers, quilting, going to Country Music shows, and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Haywood Wilson, her brothers: J.W., Thomas, and James Earl Clinard, and by her sisters: Rachel Brooksher, Frances Head, Louise Beard, and Pearlene Beard.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Carol and Steve Powell of Cedar Hill, her brother: Roy Benton Clinard of Springfield, sister and brother-in-law: Christine and Bill Shepard of Adams, grandchildren: Kim Richards and husband: James, Brad Powell, great grandchildren: Haywood and Ruby Richards. Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ernest Lee “Bubby” Hallman, 77, of Adairville, KY, died Saturday August 6, 2016 at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday August 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Woodard officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Chris Jones, Travis Grizell, Adam Hallman, Anthony Hallman, Derrick Scott, and Page Barker serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral Home.
Ernest was born July 20, 1939 in Robertson County to the late Ernest Arnold and Eva Jean Bruce Hallman. He worked for Page Barker Farms. Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he loved going to tractor pulls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Jones Hallman, by his brothers: William Richard and Walter Glenn “Pokey” Hallman, and by his sister: Edna Louise Hallman Trent.
Ernest is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy and Debbie Hallman of Grayson, KY, Bobby Joe and Vicki Hallman of Springfield, Eugene and Debbie Hallman of Adairville, KY, and by several nieces and nephews. Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Age 83 passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at NorthCrest Medical Center In Springfield, TN. She was born December 12, 1932 in Sumner County, TN to William Jasper and Laura Lola Verda Gentry. She worked as a factory worker for Davis Cabinet Company before her retirement. She Is preceded in death by her parents; 3 sons, Raymond Miles Baxter, Charles Forrest Baxter and Alvin Daniel Baxter; grandson, Hershall Adam Pewitt; 1 sister; 2 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Gentry, White House, TN; sons, George Jasper Baxter, White House, TN and Robin Dale Baxter, Trenton, GA; daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Douglas) Shortsleeve, Springfield, TN Katherine Jewel Pace, Woodbury, TN, Teresa Lynn (Adam) Pewitt, Woodbury, TN, Charlotte Jeanene Baxter, White House, TN and Charlene Denise (Randy) Huff, Goodlettsville, TN; nephew, Johnny (Diane) Bennett, Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Vonnie Sharpton, Scottsboro, AL; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2016 at 7pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, Visitation is planned for 5-7pm on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the funeral home. Age 77 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at The Waters of Springfield. He was born July 5, 1939 in Orlinda, TN to Herman and Margie McDuffee Gregory. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Gregory loved spending time with his grandchildren most of all. He also loved horses, gardening and farming. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Elrod Gregory, Springfield, TN; son, Troy Ford, Springfield, TN; daughter, Tracey (Todd) Brinson, Kearneysville, WV; sisters, Rita (Don) Pearson Sparta, TN and Patsy Whitaker, Gallatin, TN; 3 grandchildren, Kaleb Brinson, Kyndal Brinson and Griffin Brinson.

Emma Irene Halliburton Couts, age 92, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Ted Denny officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Douglas Couts, Jason Couts, Justin Couts, Troy Hale, Brendan Dudley, Brice Dudley and Ronnie Tate serving as pallbearers. Mr. Russell Couts and Mr. Travis Hale will be Honorary pallbearers. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 9am until the hour of service.
Mrs. Couts was born January 8, 1924 in Montgomery County to the late Luther and Ethel Shyer Halliburton. She was a homemaker and caregiver, a devoted Christian, a loving mother and a celebrated poet.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Couts is preceded in death by her husband, Moses Couts, her brother, Richard Halliburton, her twin sister, Christine Halliburton Chandler and her baby sister, Hula Mae Halliburton Smith and her son, Douglas Anthony Couts.
Mrs. Couts is survived by her sons, Russell Couts of Adams and Douglas Lee (Freida) Couts of Greenbrier; daughters, Kitty (Charles) Hale of Clarksville and Robin (Ronnie Tate) Couts of Madison; grandchildren, Tabitha Duarte, Troy Hale, Travis Hale, Lori Dudley, April Maxwell, Jason Couts, Justin Couts and LeeAnn Julian; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Bobby Lee Teasley, age 85, of Cedar Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home. Funeral services were held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1pm in the chapel of The Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Billy Ellis officiating. Burial followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday from 10am until the time of service at 1pm.
Mr. Teasley was born July 11, 1931 in Robertson County to the late David Benjamin and Elizabeth Sue Adams Teasley. He worked as a truck driver at Consolidated Freight and was a member of the Head’s Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Teasley is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Fentress Teasley, his brother, Jim Teasley, sister, Nancy Watts and his granddaughter, Tracey Teasley. Mr. Teasley is survived by his sons, Terry (Donna) Teasley, Lee Teasley and David Teasley, all of Springfield; daughter, Karre (Jim Litton) Willis of Englewood, FL; brother, Joe (Bonnie) Teasley of Springfield; sister, Betty (Robert) Massey of McDonaugh, GA; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Age 71 of Nashville passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Ashland City, TN. Mr. Brown was born September 27, 1944 in Nashville, TN to Hubert and Mildred Elizabeth Palmer Brown, Sr. He worked for AVCO and also drove a bus for MTA. Mr. Brown loved motorcycles, horses, playing practical jokes and animals. He was a supporter of the ASPCA. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hubert Brown, Jr.; sister Mildred Elizabeth England; niece, Joann Brown.
He is survived by son, Jerry Wayne Brown, Jr. Antioch, TN; daughters, Tammy L Brown (Philip) Moss, Hendersonville, TN and Ginger K. (Danny) Skinner, Lexington, KY; 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah Adkins, Malinda Edwards, Katelyn Moss, Keaton Moss, Natalie Moss and Collin Moss; 1 great grandchild, Lorelai Edwards.

Jesse Richard Munday, Jr., age 73, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Seth Getchell, Neel Bassham, Jake Wilson, Jeff Traughber, Vince Shepard and Paul Little serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from Noon until the hour of service.
Mr. Munday was born May 23, 1943 in Nashville to the late Jesse and Ella Mae Pond Munday, Sr. He worked as a driver for UPS and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Munday is preceded in death by his sister, Viola Groves, his brothers, Guy Munday and Paul Munday, his first wife, Doris Munday and his daughters, Katherine Munday and Bridgett Munday Wynns.
Mr. Munday is survived by his wife, Patricia Harrell Munday; son, Jesse (Michelle) Munday, III of Wasilla, AK; daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Traughber of Springfield, Helen Parasmo of Plano, TX and Alisa (Daniel) Puzon of Jeffersonville, IN; brother, Charles Munday of Scottsville, KY; grandchildren, Jake Wilson, Megan Getchell, Seth Getchell, Kayla Munday, Christoper Munday, Kylee Puzon, Miriam Puzon and Caleb Puzon; and great-grandchild, Anniston Wilson.
Janyce Calhoun Duke, age 53, of Joelton, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. Jan is survived by her best friend and husband, Phillip Duke; beloved sons, Benjamin and Jonathan Duke; parents, Johnnie and Mary Calhoun; and brother, Jack (Jeanette) Calhoun.
A private family service will take place along Little Marrowbone Creek in the Carney-Demonbruen Cemetery, Cheatham County, TN.
