Obituary for Patrick Wayne Sullivant-Hutchinson
Patrick Wayne Sullivant-Hutchinson, Age 17, of Springfield transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Friday, August 18, 2016.
Preceded in death by sister, Arrionna Hutchinson.
Survived by mother, Pamela Sullivant; father, Timothy Hutchinson; sisters, Nicole Sullivant & Katelyn Peden; brothers, Elijah Hutchinson & Timothy Hutchinson; grandmothers, Faye Sullivant, Cheri Sullivant, Kathy Burns & Tammy Peden; 
grandfathers, Kenny Sullivant & Mark Burns; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends; step father, Jeremy Peden.
Visitation will be held August 23 from 9 AM – 06PM at the Highland Hills Funeral Home and Crematory 2422 Brick Church Pike Nashville, TN.
The family asks that any donations be made directly to Mt. Olivet cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his baby sister Arrionna on Wednesday August 24, 2016.
Patrick was a hard working young man with a long life ahead of him. We lost him way to early. We greatly appreciate all your thoughts, prayers and donations.
Obituary for Ola Carlisle
Ola Thomas Bush Carlisle, 96, of Cross Plains, died Friday August 19, 2016 at Golden Living in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carlisle was born July 7, 1920 in Robertson County to the late Ollie and Effielee Callis Bush. She was a retired LPN from Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. Mrs. Carlisle was a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ. She loved going to yard sales, and in her younger days she enjoyed bowling. At the time of her death, Mrs. Carlisle was the oldest living mother in Cross Plains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Russell Carlisle, her son: Charles Eddie Carlisle, her daughter: Brenda Joyce Carlisle, and by her siblings: Oliver, Charles W., Odell, and Raymond Bush, Bertha Mae Bush, Pauline Bush Clinard, and Louise Bush White.
Mrs. Carlisle is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Billy Wayne and Amy Carlisle of West Monroe, LA, Terry Dale Carlisle of Cross Plains, Jerry Gale and Earlene Carlisle of Greenbrier, 19 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Obituary for Christine Lassiter
Christine Lassiter, 98, of Springfield, died Thursday August 18, 2016 at her home. Graveside services were conducted Friday August 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Lassiter was born February 10, 1918 in Cheatham County to the late Matthew D. and Nannie Pauline Sanders Duke. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Kingdom Hall. Mrs. Lassiter enjoyed quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Franklin Lassiter, and by her son: Charles Lassiter. Mrs. Lassiter is survived by her son: Darrell Lassiter of Springfield, daughter: Emily Sue Walling of Louisville, daughter-in-law: Linda Lassiter of Springfield, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Obituary for Rita Moskovitz
Rita Moskovitz of Springfield, TN, 82 years old, passed away Wednesday night surrounded by family and her many friends.
She was a beloved teacher, special education pioneer and mentor to many.
Mrs. Rita, as her peers and students knew her, started in the teaching profession when special needs students were not yet part of the mainstream school system. She eventually earned her undergraduate and Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee, while teaching and raising her family. She became a leader and advocate for special education advances in Tennessee. She taught special education in Greenbrier High School for over 30 years and was also a Sunday School teacher at West End Synagogue.
Her most cherished accomplishments she always said were the multitude of students, teaching assistants and future teachers that she helped reach their full potential. The entourage of friends, students and associates who rushed to the hospital to say their goodbyes in her final hours was a testament to the impact she had on so many lives. And nothing gave her greater pleasure in her life than that brought to her by her three grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herb. She is survived by her children Scott (Cindy) and Staci Joyce (Tim), her grandchildren Andrew (fiancé Erin McCafferty), Lauren Moskovitz and Hadli Joyce, and her sister Betty Lou Weiss (Walter).
A graveside service was held at Congregation Micah on Friday, August 19th at 10:00 am, followed by a reception in the Social Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy and Wanda Mason, Philip and Rosio Mason, Clint and Nicole Mason, Rebekah and John Borthick, Carol and Randy Williamson, Mike Kavanaugh, Kenneth and Linda Cherry, Debbie Hollingsworth, Denise and Al Adcock, Robin and Ronnie Tate, Joy and Chip Murphy, Janice Sanford, Jennifer Jackson, Teresa Humphrey, her “Friday Night Chicks”, and Faye Marks. These friends, along with countless teachers and retired teachers, were her support system and friends throughout her life in Springfield. Funeral arrangements by Robertson County Funeral Home
Her final wish was that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either, The Robertson County Senior Center, 615 S. Locust Street, or CASA of Robertson County, P.O. Box 967, both in Springfield, TN, 37172, where she had been very involved over the years.
Obituary for James Graham McDougal
James Graham McDougal, 89, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday August 15, 2016. He was born September 15, 1926 in Davidson County to the late William Robinson and Laura Graham McDougal. Mr. McDougal was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII. He was a Fireman 1st Class and served on the USS LST522, and the USS Tortuga. He retired as a supervisor with the Nashville Post Office, with over 30 years of service, and was a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ.
Mr. McDougal was a man with a compassionate heart. He was always giving and loved to help anyone. He enjoyed giving 2 dollar bills to children and to waiters at restaurants. He loved to debate politics and the pronunciation of words. If you asked him how he was doing, the answer you might receive would probably be “charming, handsome, witty, intelligent, and blessed”. If you asked him if he needed anything, the definite answer he would give you would be “since you mentioned it, a million dollars”. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, photography, writing poetry and short stories, writing Letters to the Editor, leatherworking, magic tricks, archery, guns, and knives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Burnett McDougal, who died in January of this year, by his brother: William R. “Billy” McDougal, and by his sister: Jean McDougal. Mr. McDougal is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: John and Shirley McDougal, Sr., of Greenbrier, by his daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Jeff Borsini of Cleveland, OH, brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Nancy McDougal of Nashville, sister and brother-in-law: Ann and Bruce Gillespie of Arizona, sister-in-law: Bonnie McDougal, grandchildren: John L. (Shannon) McDougal, Jr., Carie (Abraham) Chavez, Philip Jason (Tina) McDougal, Christina (Kelsey) Hendricks, Michael Borsini, great grandchildren: Joshua Chavez, John McDougal III, Georgia Bean, Judah Chavez, Abigail Chavez, Kira McDougal, Logan Chavez, Dylan Chavez.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday August 18th at 6:00 p.m. at the Hendersonville Church of Christ with Brother Bill Ruhl officiating. The family received friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the Hendersonville Church of Christ. Interment followed on Friday August 19th at 10:00 a.m. in the Spring Hill Cemetery on Gallatin Road in Nashville with John McDougal, Jr., John McDougal, III, Eugene Wright, Buddy Traughber, Jason McDougal, and Jeff Borsini serving as pallbearers. Age 81 of White House passed away August 19, 2016 at her home. She was born July 13, 1935 in Sumner County, TN to Mark G. & Doni Ethel Key Isabell. She worked as a souvenir shop sales clerk and homemaker before her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carl Cawthon & J.D. Vanatta; sons, Robert Carl “Shorty” Cawthon and Timmy Lee Cawthon; daughter, Sheila Budd; sisters, Margie Potts, Dixie Isabell and Beatrice Jones.
She is survived by son, Larry “Chubby” (Donna) Cawthon, White House, TN; daughters, Teresa Kimble, Cross Plains, TN, Monesa Draper, Springfield, TN and Vicky (Billy) Wilmore, White House, TN; brother, Harold (Amelia) Isabell, Springfield, TN; sister, Barbara Dickens, Greenbrier, TN; 5 half sisters and 1 half brother; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Interment will follow in Cawthon Cemetery in White House, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Monday, August 22, 2016 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Tuesday, August 23, 2016 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Obituary for Anna Maxine Baker
Age 85 of White House passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at White House Health Care & Rehab. Mrs. Baker was born October 30, 1930 in Davidson County, Tennessee. She was employed with Metro Schools in Food Service for many years before her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and camping with her husband and friends, cooking and doing arts and crafts. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Riley and Mary Frances Bradley Pickle. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert L. Baker, White House, TN; sons, Ronnie (Karen) Baker, White House, TN and Randy (Teresa) Baker, Cottontown, TN; daughter, Patsy (Ronnie) Norris, White House, TN; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Stacy, Jennifer and Todd; 4 great-grandchildren, Dawson, Isabella, Karter and Kaitlyn.

Obituary for Thomas Carroll
Thomas Monroe Carroll, age 96, of Springfield, entered into everlasting life on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 3pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Daniel Dennis officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery with Jackie Webster, Charles Webster, Johnson Privett, Max Waldrop, Kyle Tate and Chad Tate serving as pallbearers. Brother Jake Townsend officiated the internment. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 Noon until the hour of service at 3pm.
Mr. Carroll was born May 10, 1920 in Robertson County to the late Tom York and Floyd Roe Carroll. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church having given his life to Jesus in the fall of 1940. He was a furniture maker for Davis Cabinet Company until 1990 and painted with his best friend, James Bradford, until retiring in 1998.
In addition to his parents Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Wayne Carroll; brothers, Allie Carroll, Carney Carroll, Rayburn Carroll, Herbert Carroll and James Carroll; sisters, Alma Brown, Ana Bell West, Evelyn Waggner, Lorene Ellis and Annie Laura Carroll; and his granddaughter, Robin Cohea.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 75 years, Geneva Webster Carroll; daughters, Robbie Jean Sanford of Lebanon, Paulette Lewis of Nashville and Megan (Jake) Townsend of Springfield; grandchildren, Jerry Cohea, Jr., Debbie Frazier, Terry Cohea and April Cohea; 8 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
