Obituary for Ronnie Williams

On February 27, 2017, the Williams and Wildun families suffered a heartbreaking tragedy. In the early morning hours, Ronnie Williams suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital where, unfortunately, Ronnie was taken from his wife and family.

Family and friends are completely devastated by this tragedy and the loss of an amazing spouse, son-in-law, brother, officer and friend.

There has been a huge outpouring of support and condolences from the community, law enforcement, family and friends. We truly, and most sincerely, appreciate all of this support.

The Memorial service for Ronnie Williams will be Monday March 6 at 7:00pm at Christ Church / Main Sanctuary locate at 15354 Old Hickory Blvd Nashville 37211. Please come and celebrate with his family.

Regina Ashlin Chelstin have asked all to attend. She heard names but not faces. Speaking of….. MT DEW EXPRESS OUT…,”you know what I’m saying”” who heard that line…..

Obituary for Norma Boyd Adams

Norma Boyd AdamsNorma Eloise Boyd Adams, 82, of Springfield, died Saturday March 4, 2017 at North Crest Medical Center. Her remains were cremated and memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Mrs. Adams was born June 21, 1934 in Covington, KY to the late Bro. William Morton and Anne Holland Fagan Shearer. She was a retired clerk from the Gorham McBane Public Library and a member of Coopertown Church of Christ. Mrs. Adams enjoyed reading to children at the library, Head Start, and to the patients in area nursing homes. She also enjoyed and loved animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild: Billy Lee Sadler.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband: Keith Adams of Springfield, sons and daughters-in-law: Billy and Susan Boyd of Castilian Springs, Michael and Vanessa Boyd of Adairville, KY, daughters and son-in-law: Nancy and Andy Kouris of Antioch, April and Sonny Sadler of White House, brother: Morton Shearer of Springfield, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren

Obituary for Dr. Mac Dorris

Dr. Mac DorrisDr. Mac Wayde Dorris, 85, of Greenbrier, died Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Goodlettsville. Funeral services were conducted Saturday March 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family received friends on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Dr. Dorris was born January 17, 1932 in Robertson County to the late Smith and Myrtle Hackney Dorris. He graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Dr. Dorris was a dentist and dental surgeon for 40 years, having practiced primarily in LaGrange, GA. He was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church. He enjoyed raising horses, part time farming, going on dental mission trips, traveling, and remodeling houses and apartments. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Poole Dorris.

Loy Dodd, Sr.Loy Eldridge Dodd, Sr., age 82, of Chapmansboro, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o’clock am on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Burial will be at 1:00PM Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 4-8:00PM and again on Wednesday from 9AM till the hour of service.

Mr. Dodd was born May 29, 1934 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Loy B. and Clara Dodd. He was a retired minister having served various positions, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member the Gateway Assembly of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death his wife, Mary Ellen Dodd, and sister, Peggy Garretty.

Obituary for Joe Henry Moore Sr.

Joe Henry Moore Sr.Joe Henry Moore, Sr., age 88 passed away on Saturday March 4th, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Tuesday March 7th from 11am – 1:30pm. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services at Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield on Tuesday at 2pm.

Mr. Moore was born March 23, 1928 to the late Robert D. and Ella Henry Moore. After growing up in his beloved hometown of Springfield he attended Baylor High School in Chattanooga (’46) and graduated from Vanderbilt University (’50). Upon graduating he joined his father at the family’s real estate business G.S. Moore and Son, beginning a long and successful real estate career.

Mr. Moore was a dedicated and supportive family patriarch. He was a lifelong member of Springfield First United Methodist Church, a member of The Lion’s Club, and enjoyed restoring and showing classic cars.

floral squareMr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Amelia Siler Moore and his son Joe Henry Moore Jr. He is survived by his daughter Amelia Alice Moore, son Guilford Siler Moore, daughter-in-law Lee Anne Morton, grandchildren Jim (Jennifer) Moore, and Aubrey Henry Moore, and great-grandson Siler Sullivan Moore.

Mr. Harvey was born February 9, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late Roland and June Harvey. He worked as a press operator for the publishing industry and was a member of the Ashland City and Bordeaux Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Harvey; daughters, Pamela (Dale) Cotton of Goodlettsville, Jacki (Josh Jordan) Chester of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Ashlie (Nick) Hasse, Abby Chester; brother-in-law and floral squarebest friend, David Biggs and Big T; and special friend, Bob Green.

Doral Jones SummersDoral Jones Summers, age 76 of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 surrounded by her caring family. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, shopping, walking on the beach and collecting sea shells. She enjoyed working with and seeing the success of children with special needs.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Rachel Taylor and Faye Jones. She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Carl Summers; daughters, Karen (Scott) Southall and Shannon Summers; brothers, Andrew Jones, Barry (Jewel) Jones and Eddie (Nancy) Jones; brother in law, Sam Taylor. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Forrest "Jack" Kaeser Jr.Forrest “Jack” John Kaeser, Jr. age 87 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his residence. Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier is in charge of arrangements.

The family received friends Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. The funeral service was held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 with Bro. D.J. Shoulders officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Jack was born in Stratford, WI on February 10, 1930 to the late Forest John Kaeser, Sr and Grace Shiltz Kaeser.

He was a proud Veteran of 22 years in the U.S. Army. He received the following commendations and medals: Korean Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster) Service Medal, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal w/Valor Device, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award) Oversea Service Bars (2), Valorous Unit Award, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Bronze Star Medal and Distinguished Unit Citation.

Visitation with the family was held Saturday from 3:00 PM till the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker was born July 29, 1933 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina to the late John and Bena Winstead, Sr. She was a retired accounting clerk and a member of Corner Stone Free Will Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 13 brothers & sisters.
