Saturday December 13, 2014 marks the beginning of a new tradition for the city of
Greenbrier in the heart of middle Tennessee.

The festivities began with a classic Christmas parade followed by a lighting of the city’s Christmas tree.

The Greenbrier Show Choir performed an array of choreographed Christmas carols for a huge crowd while volunteers served free popcorn and other refreshments.

Families gathered around the crackling bonfire with hugs and laughter.

Children surrounded Santa and Mrs. Clause as they sat in their rockers nestled by the tall Christmas tree. There was a bit of a chill in the air but not too cold for the residents of Greenbrier to say, with warm hearts and generous smiles,  “Merry Christmas” to all.
