Police Say Man Switched Rings At Walmart And Other Stores

CLARKSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Thursday, August 13 at 4:17 PM a man (pictured) walked into Walmart on Madison St, went to the jewelry counter and asked to see a diamond ring.

The store associate showed him one ring, and then he asked to look at a second ring. While the associate was occupied, the suspect took the ring valued at $1498 and replaced it with a ring valued at $10, police say.

According to police, the suspect then told the associate they would need time to think about the purchase, and left the store.

Police believe this same individual committed similar crimes here and in Smyrna, TN.

If anyone can identify the suspect in the photos, please call Detective Lifsey at 931-648-0656 Ext 5298 or the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 931-645-TIPS (8477).
