Kimberly Blackmore, 52 of Springfield Dies In Fatal Orlinda Accident

ORLINDA TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred in Orlinda, the call came into 911 at 3:44pm.

According to Robertson County EMS Assistant Director Russell Gupton, one person has lost their life in a single vehicle accident in Orlinda today.

According to the THP a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Kimberly S. Blackmore, 52, of Springfield left the roadway and impacted a row of trees. Blackmore did not survive the impact and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A preliminary report released by the THP indicates that Blackmore  was traveling southbound on South Lamont Rd and approached a right hand curve. The report says that Blackmore “Failed to turn, running off the left shoulder of the roadway. After leaving the roadway.” Blackmore’s  vehicle “glanced off 2 trees, then struck a large tree with the passenger side of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to wrap around the tree,” the report said.

According to a THP report obtained by Smokey Barn News,  blood alcohol and toxicology tests have been requested. The THP added that Blackmore was wearing safety restraints.

Orlinda Fire, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMA, The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency all responded to the scene.
