Manhunt For Carjackers Near Joelton Over

ROBERTSON COUNTY: (Smokey Barn News) A manhunt near the Davidson/Robertson County line for three suspects wanted for a carjacking out of Nashville is officially over and all three suspects are in custody.

Smokey Barn News received your calls, emails and messages regarding a police presence in the area near Joelton after the search entered Robertson County.

The suspects were fleeing Metro Nashville Police in a vehicle heading towards Robertson County traveling up 431/Whites Creek Pike. MAP Police say the suspects abandoned their vehicle near Sycamore Creek Road and fled on foot.

Nashville Police, the Tennessee Highway patrol and Coopertown Police all participated in the search. The suspects were apprehended near the Whites Creek Post Office, officials said. The pursuit for the carjackers began in Davidson County around 6:33p.m. Around 7:30p.m. their abandoned vehicle was located and by 9:10p.m. all three suspects were in police custody.

The photos below were taken by Kyle Brown on 431 North, about a half a mile from the Robertson County line at the site of the abandoned vehicle. The photos were taken shortly after police arrived following a call from a neighbor to 911 about the vehicle.
