Meth Lab Found In Springfield Saturday Night

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Detectives with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and officials with the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency are currently on the scene of what is being called a Meth Lab in Springfield.

IMG_2152The incident has occurred on Stevenson Lane, not far from Bill Jones Industrial Blvd and 5th Ave. (Location of incident)

Though we are waiting on an official release from authorities, we believe the incident was triggered by a 911 call  about noise in the area around 9:15pm.  From what we can see, the lab was either mobile or the equipment was being transported at the time of the discovery.

Officials are still processing the scene but did say that there was no danger to the surrounding community.

Officials have not indicated whether they have taken anyone into custody but did say that Stevenson Lane will be closed to through traffic between both ends of Cherokee St. until about 2:00am while the scene is cleared.

At the moment officials are waiting on the Tennessee Meth Task Force to arrive to recover and dispose of the equipment and chemicals.

As soon as officials release more information we will bring it to you.
