New Dairy Queen In Springfield?

The Depot Banner AdSmokey Barn News July 25, 2013

SONY DSCSmokey has investigated reports that a full Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is possibly moving into the old Jack-N-The-Box store on Memorial Blvd adjacent to the Kroger Shopping center.

Though no building permits have been filed yet, it’s looking pretty good. We spoke to Springfield City Manager Paul Nutting and Springfield City Planning Director George James and it looks like we may just have a new Dairy Queen in Robertson County. PROPOSED LOCATION

A Dairy Queen representative was not immediately available to chat with us but we were told that they have plans to make some pretty extensive changes both inside and out of the strange looking almost futuristic looking old Jack-N-The-Box. “They want it to look like a Dairy Queen” said Planning Director George James. It will probably look a little like the Hendersonville location.

It’s supposed to be a full Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. The Grill & Chill’s offer a larger menu selection.

Berry D-Lite a frozen yogurt shop is in that same shopping center. I guess only time will tell if the addition of a Dairy Queen will help or hurt them.

We’ll let you know if they lock it down with building permits.
