Pre-K Registration Dates Approaching for Bransford, Coopertown, East Robertson, Krisle, And Jo Byrns Elementary Schools.

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –Pre-k programs for four-year-old children are available at Bransford, Coopertown, East Robertson, Krisle, and Jo Byrns elementary schools. Students meeting the income requirements defined by the Tennessee Department of Education are eligible for enrollment.

Families interested in this program may register on Saturday, March 5 from 8:30 preschoola.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Bransford Elementary School or Friday, March 11 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the school your child is zoned to attend: Bransford, Coopertown, East Robertson, Krisle, and Jo Byrns elementary schools. If you are unable to register your child on these dates, please contact the school office for other available dates and times.

Children must be 4 years old on or before August 15, 2016 to apply for enrollment in this program for the upcoming school year.

Students will be selected based on income eligibility requirements defined by state guidelines.

Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child.

It is not necessary for your child to be present for registration.

Registration for Head Start will also take place on these dates for Bransford Elementary school. Children must be 3 years old on or before August 15, 2016 to apply for enrollment in the Head Start program for the upcoming school year.

PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:

• Child’s Birth Certificate
• Child’s Social Security Card
• Tennessee Department of Health CERTIFICATE OF IMMUNIZATION
• (Form # PH-4103 – current health/shot record)
• Emergency contact information (names, addresses, and telephone numbers)
• Proofs of Residence Required – one utility bill issued in the last 3 months (water, gas, electricity) AND one or more of the following items: property tax records, mortgage documents or property deed, apartment or home lease or rent receipts (including date and amount of payment and names of the persons who made and received the payment).If you do not have proofs of residence, you must provide a letter from the individual that permits you and your family to reside at his/her property. The letter must include the address of residence. The following must be attached to the letter: two or more proofs of residence (see required documents listed above) noting the name of this person and the address of the residence.
• Custody papers (if applicable)
• Parent’s Drivers License and/or Photo ID
• Income Verification: Income Tax form 1040 or 1040A, Social Security/SSI, Veteran’s Benefit Letter, W-2 Form, Unemployment Compensation, Verification of pay by employer, current ADFC/Public Assistance Letter, Child Support, Letter Verification of Families First or Transitional Families First

Kindergarten Registration

Robertson County Schools will begin conducting Kindergarten registration on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the following schools:

• Coopertown Elementary
• Crestview Elementary
• East Robertson Elementary
• Greenbrier Elementary
• Jo Byrns Elementary
• Krisle Elementary
• Watauga Elementary
• Westside Elementary
• Woodall Elementary
If you are unable to register your child on this date, please contact your school’s office for other available dates and times.

Children must be 5 years old on or before August 15 to enroll for the upcoming school year.

Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child.

• Proofs of Residence Required – only 911 addresses of parent/guardian can be used; documentation shall include two of the following: property tax records, mortgage document/property deed, income tax documents, lease agreement/rent receipts including date, amount and names of persons who made and received payments, utility bill (issued in the last 3 months), state or government ID, voter registration card (voting precinct), affidavit-certifying address as students primary residence (Monday Thursday/ majority nights per month). If you do not have proofs of residence, you must provide a notarized letter from the individual that permits you and your family to reside at his/her property. The letter must include the address of residence. The following must be attached to the letter: two or more proofs of residence (see required documents listed above) noting the name of this person and the address of the residence.
