ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to Robertson County School PIO Jim Bellis, Robertson County Schools will be closed starting tomorrow, Friday, through Tuesday of next week due to the flu.

Yesterday 7.2% of the districts students were out with the flu, today that number climbed to 11.8%, later revised to 12.3%.

According to Bellis, it was that spike that pushed the district over the edge on the decision to close Robertson County Schools on Friday and Tuesday, Monday is Presidents day.

The district released the following official statement Thursday morning;

“Due to a significant number of reported illnesses and a higher than normal absentee rate with our student body and staff, schools will be closed on Friday, February 17 through Tuesday, February 21.
