Several Cars burglarized At Auto Source In Springfield

a 004In a brazen burglary thieves broke into several (as many as eight) vehicles on the Auto Source car lot located at 800 Memorial Blvd near the intersection of Memorial and 8th Ave.  Police are still trying to reach out to the owner of the business to confirm the number of cars burglarized but it appeared that about eight vehicles had their radios removed. The burglary occurred around 1:45AM Sunday. A Springfield officer just happened to be coming out of the driveway across the street and noticed something that didn’t seem quite right. As the officer moved in for a closer look the suspects made a dash for their vehicle and fled the scene.

The Springfield officer pursued the suspects for several miles down Memorial Blvd but turned the pursuit over to the Robertson County Sheriffs Department. The suspects are still at large.
