Severe Storms Expected Wednesday (3AM – 3PM) –

Winds, Hail, Possible Isolated Tornadoes

ROBERTSON COUNTY/MIDDLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A line of showers and thunderstorms, with some of the thunderstorms reaching strong to severe thresholds will begin to move through middle Tennessee late tonight.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected early Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Timing: 3 AM to 3 PM for our area.

All middle Tennessee has a threat for severe weather on Wednesday. The main concern is for potential damaging winds, large hail and brief heavy downpours resulting in localized minor flooding with damaging winds being the main threat. Isolated tornadoes can not be ruled out.

Two rounds of storms will roll in back to back with the main squall line in the morning hours which carries the most potential threat of severe weather.

Precautionary/preparedness actions if a weather warning is issued:

Take cover! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors… In a mobile home… Or in a vehicle… Move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
