Springfield Cinema Adopts AMC (R) Rated Policy

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Following AMC’s acquisition of Carmike, AMC has been making some improvements MORE to the old Springfield theater on Main St., now in accordance with the acquisition, Springfield Cinema has announced that they are switching to AMC movie viewing policies.

The acquisition of Carmike last year made AMC the largest chain of movie theaters in the world. FULL STORY

Springfield Cinema General manager Amber Armstrong reached out to Smokey Barn News for assistance in getting the word out about the recent changes.

“With the movie Logan coming up (which we are supposed to be getting and it’s Rated R) we wanted to give everyone enough time to be aware of our new rated -R-movie-policy, now that all former Carmike theaters are now AMC.”

Here are the rules:

1. You must be 17 or older to attend a rated R movie and have a valid ID, otherwise you will not be permitted to attend the movie.

2. If you are a parent of a 5 year old or younger, your child of 5 years old or younger CANNOT attend a rated R movie that starts at 6 o’clock or later.

3. If you are 21 years of age or older then you can purchase a ticket for someone underage but MUST watch the movie with them.
