Springfield High students stand out in FBLA Regional Competition

On Thursday, February 20, students from SHS competed in the Region 3 Future Business Leaders of America in Clarksville.

Schools from Robertson, Clarksville, Stewart, Dickson and Davidson counties, along with private schools such as MBA were in attendance. Students competed in business categories of accounting, business calculations, business law, computer applications, and economics to name a few.

SHS was again successful in its business academic endeavors against other schools. Chassidy Overstreet placed 5th in Business Economics. The Yellow Jackets swept the accounting competition with Emily Griffey bringing home 3rd place, Logan Binkley finishing a strong 2nd place, and the top award in accounting went to Marissa Dunn!

The group’s success now gives them the opportunity to compete at the state FBLA level in Chattanooga, TN April 7-9.

All of these students are to be commended for their hard work and diligence in their business classes. They will represent SHS well!
