Springfield Man Robbed At Gunpoint Friday Night

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –Around 2:30am Saturday, Springfield police were dispatched to the parking lot of a restaurant on Memorial Blvd to meet with the victim of an armed robbery.

On arrival, police spoke to the victim who said around 2:00am he was walking to his vehicle that was parked at the Church of God located on Leota Street when two black males exited a Ford Explorer and approached him.

The victim told police that one of the men; described as being skinny, around 5’7″-5’8″, wearing a black hoodie; pointed a black pistol (maybe a Glock) at his face and asked him for his wallet.

The other suspect, described as being built, around 5’7″-5’8″, with short dreads, also asked for the victim’s wallet. Both suspects were described as being in their early 20’s. The victim told police that he gave the suspects his wallet.  After taking the wallet the suspects ran toward a Gray Ford Explorer with drive-out tags and then left the scene.
