Springfield Police Search For Suspect After Attempted Robbery 

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – At 8:37PM Thursday evening a man walked into the Sudden Service BP gas station located on Memorial Blvd next to Payne Chevrolet and asked the cashier for change for a hundred. As the cashier prepared to oblige, the man reached over the counter and grabbed at the money and ran out the door.

According to Police, the quick thinking cashier was able to snatch the money back from the man at the last second preventing a successful robbery which is why the classification of the crime is Criminal Attempt to Commit Robbery.

Police said there was three employees inside the store at the time of the robbery but no one was injured. No customers were inside the store.

The suspect is described as a black male (possibly light skinned) about 6 feet tall, 165 pounds (skinny build) wearing a hoodie and bluejeans.
