What about the weather? Should you care? What’s the best time to vote to stay dry?
Though most forecast machines seem to be in agreement that it’s going to rain Tuesday, there will be at least two nice windows you can slip through if your goal is to stay dry while casting your vote on Super Tuesday. The worst of it will hit midday after a cold front hits the county increasing the odds of severe thunderstorms, especially midday through afternoon. So, when would be the best time to vote?
There will be periods of light rain from around 7am to 9am which will then turn over to thunderstorms with a medium threat of damaging winds until around 5pm. Another good opportunity to vote could be from 5pm – 7pm if the weather model holds up.
This front is not expected to bring a large outbreak of severe storms, but some of these storms could produce damaging wind gusts. The temperature will linger in the low to mid 60’s and cool down to the 40’s once the storm front moves through.
