Thunderstorms Causing Power-Outages : Flash Flood Watch
ROBERTSON COUNTY & SURROUNDING MIDDLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – UPDATE: If you are still without power this morning, things are improving. CEMC has been working all night in the rain and lightning high up in their bucket trucks to restore power.
As you can see from the power outage map below (taken at 5:15am) the largest part of the county now has power. The rest of the remaining customers affected should have their power restored soon.
Reported earlier: Scattered thunderstorms are passing over middle Tennessee tonight. Already several thousand are without power and many report intermittent power.
The ground is already saturated so we may experience minor flooding in some areas. Most of the storms should pass us by 11:am according to the National weather service.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Flash Food Watch and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Northern and Eastern parts of middle Tennessee, including Robertson County.
We also have some reports of tress down across the area and a report just came in that Hwy 76 may be blocked by a down tree. See photos below. UPDATE Hwy 76 is now open.
Traffic signals are also out in Springfield and Greenbrier so drive with caution if you must go out. Below is a CEMC power outage map taken at 8:45PM

We live in White House near the city center. Sirens are going nonstop. Huge trees just fell near our property and may have hit a power line. I don’t know what we’ll do if we have to throw out all the groceries. Hope everyone stays safe tonight!
