TN Quick Cash In Springfield Robbed At Gunpoint Friday Night
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Around 9:15 Friday evening Springfield police say a man walked into Tennessee Quick Cash located on Memorial Blvd showed a gun and demanded money.
According to police the robbery took place just as the business was closing and the suspect fled on foot. Tennessee Quick Cash is located at 904 Memorial Blvd.
According to Springfield Police Chief David Thompson, a female employee of the business had just closed up the store and was in the parking lot preparing to leave when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect then led the woman back inside the business and committed the robbery.
Police say the description of the suspect is similar to the robbery that took place at the Taco Salsa last night. MORE The suspect is described as being a black thin male wearing a mask and dark clothes. Police called in their special canine unit to track the scent of the suspect.
The last word we received from police was that there was no suspect in custody at this time. The only good news in the story is that thankfully the suspect decided not to discharge his weapon and no one was shot or injured during the course of this robbery.
The number of robberies is definitely on the rise in Springfield. We do know that the Springfield Police Department is putting special effort and attention toward solving these crimes and getting these criminals off the street. Police have not released to us whether or not the suspect escaped with any amount of cash.
