Investigators are saying that a lightning strike is the likely cause of a fire that has left two families homeless Saturday night in Greenbrier. The fire broke out around 7:30PM Saturday evening and when fire crews arrived the upper level of the split level home was fully involved.

Crews from White House, Ridgetop, Pleasant View and Greenbrier all responded to the fire as well as Robertson County E.M.A and E.M.S. The structure is located in the 5000 block of Fisher Grove Road.

Fire crews managed to contain the fire to the upper part of the structure but both levels suffered heavy damage. The split level home was occupied by two families including three children and two pregnant women. No one was injured in the fire.

As soon we have any info on needs that the two families may have we will bring that to you. See video report for more details.
