The vehicle then spun around, exited the roadway, hit a tree and rolled over.

Though properly restrained, the 2-year-old passenger was injured and transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville via ground.  The driver sustained only minor injuries.

Mary Mantlo reached out to Smokey Barn News Friday evening to let us know that her son suffered scrapes and bruises but is otherwise OK.

“Out of that horrible rollover crash, this is the only damage it has done to my sweet boy. He was trapped under the truck and God was watching over him and this is all that he has wrong with him.

“We are both okay and I’m very thankful for all the men and women that stopped and helped free my baby today. Each and every one of y’all will forever be in my heart and I’m thankful that God put y’all there today,” Mary Mantlo.

Officials warn that the roads are very slick. Residents should try to avoid driving if at all possible.
