How to get a FREE Listing on the Community Calendar
We desire to help churches, schools and nonprofit organizations to connect with all of our readers and residents north of Nashville with the latest news and events.
If your event does not have an advertising budget and is not being promoted via any paid advertisements OR paid social media promotions and does not have an admission fee, we can publish and promote the event free of charge to the Smokey Barn News Community “Calendar-Events” AND may be chosen as a social media PSA.
This is our way of helping community organizations, churches and schools that do not have an advertising budget.
NOTE: (3rd Party) Smokey Barn News Advertisements and Events Listings do not include 3rd party mentions (sponsors/partners). However, advertisements and free listings can include a link to your website or FB page for promoting event sponsors.
Just let us know with a confirmation that the event is not being promoted via any paid ads/paid social promotions AND QUALIFIES for a FREE LISTING.
However, If the event is being promoted via an ad budget, ALL Non-profits receive 25% discount on all ad rates with Smokey Barn News!
See qualifications for Free event listings below…
• Free Listings may be published 30 days prior to event date.
• Free Listings must be open to the public and family-friendly.
• Free Listings must have no admission fee unless 100% of admission/sign up fees goes to a charity.
• To Qualify for a Free Listing the event must not be advertised with paid advertisements via other media outlets, paid ads via social media platforms or marketing services.
• One free listing per event/organization per month.
*Ultimately, it is up to our discretion whether the event meets the guidelines set forth.

Business Events…If you don’t qualify for a free listing don’t panic, Smokey’s the best place to advertise your event and your money will be well spent!
We have multiple advertising options to choose from. Business hosted events are published to the Community calendar for FREE when you choose any advertising option.
What do options include?
It depends on your budget but Smokey’s ad packages can include video commercials, banner ads, front page coverage we call “Featured Posts” which is broadcast across ALL of SBN’s online/social media platforms!
