Brief White House Manhunt Over Suspect In Custody

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Kentucky man is in custody and on his way to the Sumner County Jail following a brief manhunt in the White House area Tuesday.

Police say the suspect, identified as Dustin Davenport,26, out of Kentucky, fled after police attempted a traffic stop. According to Sumner County Sheriff Sonny Weatherford, the hunt for Davenport became a foot pursuit when Davenport abandoned the alleged stolen vehicle near Shun Pike and Hwy 76. MAP

The vehicle was stolen out of Robertson County, possibly Springfield, according to officials. Weatherford said it was not known if Davenport took the vehicle but he was driving it.

After searching the wooded area off Hwy 76 for several hours Davenport was captured by Sumner County deputies.

Davenport will be facing several charges including, Possession Of A Stolen Vehicle and fleeing police. Davenport could be facing additional charges once the investigation is complete, Weatherford said.
