Coopertown Man On Way To Wife At Hospital In Rollover 

A Coopertown man is very lucky to be alive after his vehicle left the roadway and overturned. According to Captain Trey Nelms with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the man was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated.

The accident occurred on Old Coopertown Rd near Hayes Rd. (Location of wreck) The accident completely closed Old Coopertown Rd for about an hour and a half while the man was removed from the vehicle and crews cleaned up the scene.

Somehow the man escaped serious injury. “The man’s wife had been taken to the hospital the day before and he was on his way to see her,” Nelms said.

As far as a cause of the accident, we are still waiting on a a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Responding to the scene was the The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Robertson County EMS, The Robertson County Sheriff’s Department and two engine companies with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department.

Smokey would like to wish the man and his wife a speedy recovery.
