Customer Held By Hair At GunPoint In Aggravated Robbery At Springfield’s Speedway

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Wednesday morning just after 4:30 am Springfield Police officers were dispatched to Speedway located at 1200 Memorial Blvd., in reference to an Aggravated Robbery.

Officers were advised that a man entered the store and grabbed a woman who was a customer and forced her to the cash register. The man allegedly grabbed the woman’s hair and held a black handgun against her head during the robbery.

The suspect then allegedly demanded the store clerks to give him all of the money in the register. The clerks gave the subject over $500 in cash and change. The subject then left the store and fled on foot.

The suspect, now identified as Tishaun Esaw from Springfield, was later apprehended at 10th Avenue East near Hill St in Springfield.  Esaw has been charged with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault and is being held on 80,000 bond.

The customer was not injured during the incident.

According to Springfield Police Chief Jason Head, there could be other individuals connected to this incident and detectives are conducting a thorough investigation.
