Driver Extricated Following Hwy 41 Rollover Crash
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The driver of an SUV somehow escaped serious injury following a rollover crash on Hwy 41 Monday.
The crash occurred in Springfield on Hwy 41 around 12:30 pm about a mile past Rod’s Tire. MAP By the damage, the vehicle may have flipped more than once and when it finally stopped the driver was trapped inside.
According to Springfield Fire Chief Jimmy Hamill, the driver had to be cut out of the vehicle but once free she was able to walk to the ambulance.
Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the driver, in her 60’s, was very fortunate to have escaped serious injuries. The driver was transported via ground to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with non-critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Springfield Police, Springfield Fire and Robertson County EMS all responded to the crash.
