Driver Flees After Traffic Stop On Hwy 41 Near Greenbrier

UPDATE: Suspect has been taken into custody.

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s office, a traffic stop around 8 pm on Highway 41 between Greenbrier and Springfield turned into a hunt for the driver who fled on foot. MAP.

Officials tell Smokey Barn News, there was some kind of confrontation during the stop after which the alleged driver, now identified as Samuel Amador Cruz, 39, of Springfield, fled on foot between Warsham Springs Rd and Kerry Drive.

After about three hours on the run the suspect was taken into custody by Robertson County Sheriffs Deputies, officials said.

Cruz is facing charges of;  Driving Under The Influence 4th Offense, Driving on a Suspended License 4th Offense, Resisting Arrest x 2 and Assault.  He was transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield under a $38,500.00 bond.
