Driver OK After Hwy 161 Rollover Crash

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The driver of a passenger car was able to walk away uninjured following a rollover crash on Hwy 161 Monday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred just before 11:30am near the Kentucky border. MAP The driver was looked over after the crash but according to officials,  refused treatment.

One lane of Hwy 161 is closed and the roadway may be completely closed for a short time to remove the vehicle following the THP’s investigation of the crash. If you are heading to Kentucky you may want to add a few minutes to your travel time.

This is the second rollover crash in Robertson County within the last few days. On Thursday a driver was able to walk away with just a few scratches following a rollover crash on Smiley Hollow Rd near Ridgetop. MAP  (photos below) The Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation.

The driver told Smokey Barn news she lost control of her vehicle trying to avoid another vehicle that drifted into her lane. According to the driver, the vehicle just kept going after the crash.

On Friday evening at least one person, including a 9-year-old child, was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville following what was nearly a head-on crash in Springfield. (photo below)

A pickup and a passenger vehicle (both Nissan) collided at the intersection of William A. Batson Pkwy and New Cut Rd. MAP Springfield Police are in charge of the investigation.
