Everyone OK After Robertson School Bus And Car Collide

CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Robertson County School bus and a passenger vehicle collided Wednesday causing heavy damage to both vehicles but allowing everyone to walk away with just minor injuries.

The bus was on its way home from Springfield High School with two Innovation Acamody students on board when the bus and the passenger vehicle collided. The accident occurred on Westside Dr near Main St in Cross Plains around 4:29 pm. MAP

Robertson County EMS and Cross Plains Fire medical personnel looked everyone over but no one was transported, according to Cross Plains Fire Chief Tommy Jackson.

According to Chief Jackson, the vehicle impacted the bus at the rear axle causing heavy damage to the bus’s drivetrain and, as you can see, the vehicle will likely be totaled. Could have been worse, one official told Smokey Barn News.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is looking into the exact cause of the crash.

The THP, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Cross Plains Fire and Robertson County EMS all responded to the call.
