Keith Rediker

UPDATE: According to Chief Chad Gregory with North Robertson Fire and Rescue, the firefighter, Keith Rediker, has been released from the hospital.

In an interview from his home late Saturday/early Sunday morning, Rediker told Smokey Barn News that he has some bumps and scrapes and a back injury, but doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

He says he was hit by debris from the ceiling and possibly cabinets.

Rediker wanted us to be sure to express for him a big thank you to Robertson County EMS and his fellow firefighters for helping him out of the house.

According to Chief Brown, the residents made it out of the home safely. Chief Brown says the fire started in the kitchen as a grease fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen, dining room and a small part of the living room.

UPDATE: We have learned that as the second wave of storms came through Robertson County the house reignited. Firefighters were called back to the home at 11 pm. According to Officials at the scene, the home is a total loss.

We have reached out to officials with the Adams Fire Department for more information, as soon as we have an update, we will bring it to you.
