Greenbrier Middle School Golf Team Heading To Regionals

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  The Greenbrier Middle School Golf Team won their first District golf tournament yesterday at the Clarksville Country Club.

The win sets the stage for the team, Mathew Dill,  Carter Stroup,  Brayden White,  Landry Hampton,  Tyler Williamson, and  John Cohea to advance to Regionals.

This is the first time a golf team from Greenbrier Middle has advanced to Regionals in the school’s history. The win was lead by 13-year-old Tyler Williamson who fired a 34 (two under par) to help lead the team to victory.

Tyler Williamson was also awarded as a Medalist for shooting the low round of the tournament. The team will now advance on to the regionals which will be played on May 13th and 14th at the Two Rivers Golf Course in Nashville, TN.

Coaches Steve Weaver, Todd Williamson, and Jim Mckee had enjoyed a 9 and 1 season with the team and they’re looking forward to Regionals.
