Burglary Hoax Triggers Manhunt In Greenbrier
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Greenbrier Police are calling an (all clear) after a brief search for two potential alleged burglary suspects near Look Out Point Tuesday.
The call came in at 1:59 pm that a home near Look Out Point MAP had been burglarized. Police responded quickly and a brief search began. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Millersville Police and a THP helicopter were called in to assist in a search but no suspects were located and the search was called off.
According to Robertson County School’s Officials, Greenbrier High School was placed on a precautionary soft lock-down for about 30 minutes. Greenbrier Middle School was placed on a precautionary soft lock-down for about 5 minutes and buses were delayed briefly.
After further investigation Greenbrier Police say the burglary was a hoax. Police say the resident, 45 year old Connie Aldridge of Greenbrier, confessed to staging the home to look like a burglary and calling police.
Police say Aldridge broke the glass in the back door and knocked off a door knob to create the appearance of forced entry and made up the story alleging that two Hispanics were responsible.
Aldridge has been taken into custody and was transported to the Robertson County Jail where she is currently being held on a $7,500 bond. Chief Smith told Smokey Barn News that Aldridge will be facing serious charges that will include filing a false police report.
