Guitar Shaped Mailbox Causes Rollover Crash In Greenbrier

The crash occurred on Rose Street in a quiet subdivision in Greenbrier just before 2 pm. MAP

According to Officer Burroughs with the Greenbrier Police Department, for reasons unknown, the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a mailbox. The mailbox was shaped like a guitar and firmly mounted on a steel support. When the driver struck the mailbox it caused the vehicle to flip.

The driver (a Greenbrier resident) was transported to an area hospital, her condition was not available at the time of this report. We did learn that the driver was transported non-emergency to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville via ground transport.

Officer Burroughs told Smokey Barn News that there was no sign of impairment and no charges will be filed. “It was just an accident,” Burroughs said.

Burroughs added that the accident was one of the more unusual ones. “When you hear that about a car hitting a mailbox you don’t expect the mailbox to cause it to flip.”

The Greenbrier Fire Department, Greenbrier Police and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
