Obituary for Robert Dean Lichti Jr.
Robert Dean Lichti, Jr., 67, of Cedar Hill, passed away on Sunday August 19, 2018 at his home.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday August 25th at 4:00 p.m. in the reception room at Hampton Inn in Springfield with Reverend Brad Shockley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the Hampton Inn
Mr. Lichti was born July 15, 1951in Long Beach, CA. He was a retired Hoist Sales Manager and he attended Pleasant View First Baptist Church. Mr. Lichti enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Dean Lichti, Sr. Mr. Lichti is survived by his wife: Kimberly Cox Lichti of Cedar Hill, his mother: 
Helen Lichti of Sun City, AZ, his son: Robert Dean Lichti, IV of Colorado Springs, CO, his daughters: Heather Rosique of Long Beach, CA and Crystal Gilbert of Lakewood, CA, his step-daughters: Donita Brown, Danielle Taylor, and Deidre Taylor, his brother: Wayne Lichti of Chester, CA, his sister: Marilyn Buster of AZ, eight grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

Obituary for Lonnie D. Woodson
Lonnie D. Woodson, age 71 of Springfield, TN died Friday August 17, 2018 at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield. His wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service in his memory.
Mr. Woodson was born November 25, 1946 in Robertson Co., TN to the late Dorothy Woodson and Robert Gordon. He was a retired towmotor operator with Wilson Sporting Goods. Lonnie loved to watch TV, wash his Cadillac, and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving him are his wife, Ida Farmer Woodson of Springfield, children, Rosalyn Nobbin of Springfield, Cheyrll White of Murfreesboro, TN, Christopher Nobbin of Knoxville, TN and Sertha Nobbin of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his uncle, Willie Mason of Springfield, his aunt, Raymona Carney, and his best friends, Jerry Tyler, Ronnie Hyde, and PJ Gardner.

Obituary for John Leath Wilson
John Leath Wilson, 80, of the Martin’s Chapel Community in Springfield, passed away Friday August 17, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday August 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Van Eyes and Marvin Burkhardt officiating. Interment followed in the Martins Chapel Cemetery with his grandson and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Estes, Marvin Burkhardt, and Tommy Powell. The family received friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson was born May 17, 1938 in Robertson County to the late Henry Ewing and Louise Harper Wilson. He retired from the United Rubber Workers and was a member of Martin’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a member of the URW, and was a strong Democrat. Mr. Wilson enjoyed farming, gardening, and watching TV, especially John Wayne and Westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Edna Scott, Wesley Wilson, and Aline Smith.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife: Christine Wilson, daughter: Penelope Lynn Wilburn and husband Steve, grandson: Joshua Leath Appleton and wife Ashlee, great grandchildren: Emma and Ellie Appleton, brothers: Randy and Jeff Wilson, sisters: Maxine Wooden, Pat Hix, Ann Hayes, Earlene Estes, and Beverly Langford.

Obituary for Maggie “Donna” Trogdon
Maggie Sadonna “Donna” Trogdon, 77, of Adairville, KY, passed away on Friday August 17, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services were conducted Monday August 20th at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother David Harper officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Jacob Henley, Dustin Phelps, Cody Elmore, Dillon Mitchell, Johnny Carathers, Ethan Creek, and Anthony Phelps serving as pallbearers. Konnor Phelps was an honorary pallbearer. The family received friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Trogdon was born December 12, 1940 in Adams, TN to the late Richard Brown and Meedy Bryant Wallace. She was a retired assembly worker with Oscar Myer and was a member of New Life General Baptist Church in Springfield. Mrs. Trogdon loved gardening, working puzzles, playing computer card games, and watching game shows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Connell, Wesley, Thurman, and Bobby Frazier, James and George Brown, by her sisters: Floy Russell and Helen Murray, and by her great grandson: Easton Mitchell.
Mrs. Trogdon is survived by her daughters: Tina Trogdon Henley of Russellville, KY and Rhonda Trogdon Elmore of Adairville, KY, her brother: Richard “Charlie” Brown of Crossville, her sisters: Mae James of Old Hickory and Margie Smith of Nashville, her grandchildren: Brandi (Dillon) Mitchell, Tamra (Dustin) Phelps, Jacob Henley, Jada (Ethan Creek) Elmore, and Cody Elmore, her great grandchildren: Konnor, Addie, Kylin, Ava, Evan, Oklynn, Weston, and Elli.

Obituary for Dawn Carter Cornelius
Dawn Carter Cornelius was born in Ruston, Louisiana June 10th 1965 and raised in Hope, Arkansas. She passed away on August 20th 2018 at her home in Pleasant View, Tennessee.
Dawn is survived by her mother Gerri Spears, brothers David and Duane Carter. She is also survived by other siblings by marriage Mark, Linda and Don Spears. She also had two adopted sisters Debra and Chris. Dawn was preceded in death by her father Dr. Robert D. Carter and stepfather Grayson Spears. Dawn is also survived by her husband Ron Cornelius. Ron is a world renown musician and producer in Nashville and Dawn was a highly respected songwriter and singer.
As a songwriter, Dawn was recognized during her career by heavyweight writers such as Harlan Sanders, Max D. Barnes, John D. Loudermilk, Harlan Howard and many others.
Dawn moved to Nashville after graduating high school in 1983 to pursue her career as a writer and singer. She traveled extensively in the U.S. and Canada as a vocalist prior to signing a publishing deal on Music Row. She met Cornelius in the recording studio while working with Buddy Hyatt and other top session musicians. Dawn and Ron loved each other until she passed away peacefully in her sleep August 20th 2018.
Dawn’s music will live on – she was an extremely prolific writer. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends as well as the music community and her fellow writers.

William “Ellis” Nichols, age 99, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Sunday, August 26th, at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating.
Burial will follow in Good Springs Cemetery with Chip Hoosier, Zachary Morris, Clay Harris, Kenny Morris, Brett Nichols, Drew Desirey, and Nick Reeves serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Lipscomb, James Walker, Joe Mason , Rick Nicholson, and the former and current deacons of Good Springs Church.
The family will receive friends at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View from 4:00-8:00PM Saturday, August 25th, and again on Sunday at Good Springs Church beginning at 1:00 PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
Mr. Nichols was born on July 31, 1919 in the Gause Community of Robertson County, Tennessee to the late Herbert and Lula Ellis Nichols. He was retired from Hester Battery Company, and was a United States Navy veteran having served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during World War II. He was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Nichols; son, Michael Nichols; brothers, Dorris and Russell Nichols; sister, Larena Fuqua.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy (Chuck) Hoosier; daughter-in-law, Wanda Nichols; brother, Earl (Libby) Nichols; sister, Virginia White; grandchildren, Michele (Kenny) Morris, Noelle (Clay) Harris, Chip (Kori) Hoosier, Chris (Toy) Nichols, Brett (Michele) Nichols; and eight great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Chelsea Lynn Groves
Chelsea Lynn Groves, sweet baby girl of Patrick and Angie (Davis) Groves was born into the arms of angels August 23, 2018 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. Born at 35 weeks, she weighed 3 lbs 14 oz and was 16 inches long. Although Chelsea never spent any time with us on earth she was very loved and touched many lives. Our precious angel will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Gary D. Groves, maternal great grandparents Dorothy Troupe and Tommy and Velma Davis, and paternal great grandparents Wayne and Juanita Bearden.
In addition to her parents she is survived by maternal grandparents Lynn and Deborah (Troupe) Davis of White House, TN; Paternal grandmother Nita (Bearden) Groves-Hill of Cunningham, TN. Great grandparents O.C. and Virginia Groves and Robert Troupe. Loving Aunts and Uncles Ryan (Christine) Groves, Alexis Hill, Ken (Jennifer) Davis, and Jody (Julie) Davis. Cousins Grant and Gracen Groves and Abbie Davis, along with an extended loving family.
Chelsea was loved deeply by David and Carol Williams and family. Patrick and Angie will be forever grateful for the love and support expressed by their many family and friends.

Obituary for Norman Dennis Urschel
Norman Dennis Urschel, age 73 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Norman was the most kind, gentle and loving man. He was married 38 years to his loving wife, Barbara. Together they shared many years of love and happiness surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving small remote cars and planes, a hobby he loved sharing with his great-grandson. Norman was a man of many funny quirks and he loved all things history, traveling, and watched Wheel of Fortune religiously every day.
Other than his wife, he is survived by his children; Robert Wayne Urschel, Lesley (Allen) Curtis and Lisa (Patrick) Bastain, grandchildren; Chad (Tori), Cory (Nacole) and Chelsie (Charlie) Fields, Trevor (Gracie) and Logan Curtis and Kelsey Lee, great-grandchildren; Hunter and Owen Fields and Cruz Curtis and brothers; Roland (Cho) and Fred (Tammy) Urschel.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 27th at Austin and Bell Funeral Home, Hendersonville.

Age 89 of White House went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at NHC Nursing Home in Springfield. He was born November 29, 1928 in Knox City, TX to Carl and Willie Tomlinson Green. He worked as a retail clerk for Safeway Grocery before his retirement. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a member of New Life Fellowship.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gilbert Green; sister, Avanell Gore. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juanita Johnson Green; daughter, Pam (Phillip) Uttz, both of White House, TN; sons, Michael (Paula) Green, Greenbrier, TN and Larry (Sandra) Green, White House, TN; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Jonathan, Allen, Christopher and Troy; 16 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 6pm at New Life Fellowship in Cross Plains, TN with Bro. Steve Farmer officiating. Interment is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2pm at Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors and with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Saturday, August 25, 2018 5-6pm at the church.

Wilkie Lois Stack Poole, age 97, of Clarksville went to be with her Lord Monday, August 20, 2018 at Lynch’s Residential Home for the Elderly.
The family will receive friends 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 23rd at 10am to 12pm on Friday, August 24th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 6316 Hwy 41A, Pleasant View, TN. The funeral service will be at 12pm on Friday, August 24th at the funeral home with Rev. Jon Justice, Bro. Marvin Deaver, and Rev. Bobby Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the Albright Cemetery.
She was born in the Oak Plain Community of Montgomery County, TN, on February 22, 1921 to the late John Wesley Stack and Cora Gillum Basford Stack. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Poole, Jr., sister, Birdie V. Albright; brothers, Roy W. Stack and Edward J. Stack.
She worked in the school cafeteria while living in Florida and continued to do so when they moved back to TN. She later went to work and retired from the Montgomery County Nursing Home on Oak Plains Road. She loved to cook, which she did at the schools and nursing home.
She also loved her flowers. She was the oldest living member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Marvin) Deaver; Virginia (Jon) Justice; grandchildren, Barry (Hannah) Deaver, Darby (To’avia) Deaver and Cori (Stephen) Hodges, great-grandchilden, Sydney, Will, Jacob, Karrie Lynn, Julie Ann, Leilani, Elisaia, Mataio Deaver, Ava, Hunter, Reagan Hodges and great-great-grandchild, Ava Chute.
Pallbearers will be David Poole, Greg Poole, Robert Poole, Mark Baggett, Beau Baggett, Danny Morris and Van Baggett.

Obituary for William Johnson
William Andrew Johnson, age 71, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Stoneridge Healthcare in Ridgetop.

Mr. Johnson was born March 22, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late Henry Arthur and Catherine Patrick Johnson. He worked as a custodian at Water Bonnett.
In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Cowles Johnson, his daughter, Betty Sue Cowles and his brothers, Henry Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughters, Patricia Edwards and Mary Louise Johnson, both of Springfield; brother, Stonewall “Stoney” Johnson of Mt. Juliet; and granddaughter, Samantha Adams.

Obituary for Jeannette J. Florian
Jeannette Jones Florian of Greenbrier, TN., age 86 died August 18, 2018.
A beloved wife of over 40 plus years to Jerome Florian and beloved mother to, Deborah L. Chadwick (Larry) and Gloria J. Tidwell (David) Also a grandmother, great grandmother, sister in law, aunt and great aunt.
Jeannette was born in Greenbrier, Robertson County, TN March 31, 1932. Moving to Michigan as a young wife and mother in the 1950’s she managed to graduate high school and continue her education to receive her cosmetology license for the state of Michigan. Fulfilling her desire for business she seized an opportunity and managed the same nationwide chain restaurant for 26 years. She employed many a young person working themselves through school all while raising a family.
She went on to get a cosmetologist license in TN and TX not knowing where her later years would take her, she was prepared.
She moved to Texas in 1980 and back to Tennessee in 1990. She and her husband acquired her birthplace farm and they brought it back to life. At this point in her life it was work that she loved and that meant flowers, flowers and flowers. To the end it was flowers, flowers and flowers. This being her main hobby. Keeping her home and grounds was her passion. People would stop and talk to her about her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ina Hardison Jones, father, James Volney Jones, and a number of brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Victoria Cook and Abby Darlene Blay and great granddaughter, Tori Sutton.
She is survived by her loving husband Jerome Florian and her two daughters, Deborah Chadwick (Larry) and Gloria Tidwell (David); grandsons, granddaughters; a number of great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends 2pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 21 and the funeral service will follow at 7pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Colleen Lough officiating. The family held a private burial later at Gideon Methodist Church Cemetery.

Obituary for Patricia Ann Williams
Age 75 of White House passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Saint Thomas Midtown. She was born April 12, 1943 in Sumner County, TN to Herman Houston and Vida Mai Jones Whittaker. She worked outside the home as a housekeeper and was a member of First Baptist Church Portland. She had been a loving caregiver to her husband and all of her brothers and sisters before their deaths.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.D. Williams; 4 brothers, Earl, Freddie, Jimmy and Larry and 4 sisters, Ethelene, Nellie, Isola and Barbara. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Greg McCoy officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held Monday, August 20, 2018 5-8pm and Tuesday, August 21, 2018 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Age 73 of Portland, TN passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1945 in Evansville, IN to Bernard Aloyisus and Helen Metzger Pike. He worked as a plant manufacturing manager for FKI Industries and was of the Catholic faith. He proudly served his country in the US Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Christina Lee Pike; sister, Dixie McDonough. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Tullis Pike; son, Bernard Alan Pike, III (Jennifer), Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Tasha RaNay Collinsworth (William) Portland, TN; brother, Larry Pike (Susan), Carmel, IN; sister, Carolyn Price (Frank), Decatur, AL; 3 grandchildren, Skylar Jade Pike, Nicholas J. Payne and Bernard Aidan Pike, IV (expected in October).
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 4pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with military honors. Visitation is planned for Saturday, August 25, 2018 1pm-4pm at the funeral home. Inurnment of the ashes will be scheduled at a later date at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, IN.
