Jimmie Lee CraigJimmie Lee Craig, age 60 of Cedar Hill, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 PM until the hour of service.

Mr. Craig was born February 13, 1957 in Norfolk, VA to the late Florence Loubell Plunkett. He was a material handler for Unarco, where he had worked for 43 years. He was a member of IAM Union 1441. He loved fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He enjoyed playing his guitar and helping others. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Gene Phelps.

Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Matt Beck, Brandon Beck, Ramon Alvarez, and Shelby Alvarez serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Hogue was born on August 6, 1927 in Robertson County to the late Robert Lesley and Grace Irene Lauderdale. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, cooking, and modeling clothes. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Hogue, her daughter, Suzy Alvarez, her step son David Hogue, and her sisters, Nadine Couts, Virginia Heman, and Norma Jean Cheff.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Gupton, Steve Haley, Ron Buck, and Teresa Lundine Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Robert Buck, Jr., Louis Buck, James Buck, Reuben Buck, Luke West, and Steve Honea serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Robert Buck, E.J. Buck, Gayle Scaggs, Donnie Arms, Steve Haley, and Timothy Haley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 noon until the hour of service.

Mr. Buck was born February 20, 1945 in Montgomery County to the late James Lewis and Lou Helen Arms Buck. He was a member of Goodlettsville First Baptist Church, a graduate of Austin Peay State University, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a past member of the Goodlettsville Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Rotary Club. He worked as a recruiter for James L. Buck & Company and then worked in the George H.W. Bush administration as an INS Commissioner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Lee Lundine.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Wix Buck of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, floral squareRonald Douglas and Mary Buck of Fairview; and sisters, Laura Ann Ethridge of McEwen and Carolyn Jane Buck of Springfield. The family would like to express their thankfulness to Don Arms for all his love, support, and friendship.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville at 3 pm Thursday with Jeff Groves, Scott Morton, Mike Reaves, Brian Tate, David Turner and Michael Barnett serving as pallbearers. Dick Dean will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am until 1 pm.

floral squareMr. Ross was born March 26, 1924 in Washington, NC to the late Vyron Earl Ross Sr and Carrie Broach Ross. His wife, Frances Ann Witty Ross, infant son, James Francis Ross and his brother, Vyron Earl Ross Jr, also preceded him in death. He was a member of Central Christian Church, a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a gunner in the South Pacific. He retired from the railroad where he was a signal maintainer for 42 years.

Rocky is survived by his son, Galen E. Ross of Springfield, TN; daughter, Marion Zimmerman of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Breanna Nicole Ross and Rose Zimmerman Caple.

Ms. Mason was born January 3, 1921 in Springfield to the late G.C. and Grace Armstrong Mason. She was a teacher for 32 years in the Metro School System and for 10 years in the Robertson County School System and was also a member of the Barren Plains Baptist Church.

Jean McLaughlinJean Malloy McLaughlin, age 88, of Ashland City, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Nashville. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Thursday, December 21st, in the Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City. Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Teasley, Kyle Jackson, Chad Jackson, Tyler McLaughlin, Joe Austin, and Jared Crain.

There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. McLaughlin was born on November 22, 1929 in Cheatham County, Tennessee to the late James and Sammie Smith Shearron. She was a homemaker and a member of the Big Marrowbone Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wrenn McLaughlin; daughter, Diddra Johnson; brothers, Marion, Benjamin, Jimmie, and Pete Shearron; sisters, Melinee Shearron, Zorah Adkisson, and Evelyn Nabors.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Jackson of Nashville; sons, Jeffrey McLaughlin of Franklin, TN, and Shane (Robin) McLaughlin of Nashville; son-in-law, Craig Johnson of Pleasant View; grandchildren, Troy (Chelsea) Teasley, Kyle (Angela) Jackson, Chad Jackson, Ashley (Joe) Austin, Bethany (Jared) Crain, Tyler floral square(Catie) McLaughlin; and 10 great-grandchildren.

John was retired from Metro Fire Department after 28 years of service. He served in the US Navy during WWII on LST 757. After retirement, he always enjoyed working in his yard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ava Harris Stevens; 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Nicholas FlemingAge 39 of White House passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his home. He was born July 20, 1978 in Yonkers, NY to John Raymond and Anna Marie Thomas Fleming. He worked as a security guard for Walden Security. Nicholas was a 1997 graduate of White House High School and remained a loyal and avid Blue Devils Football fan. He also loved the Nashville Predators, all things Disney, jeeps, cooking, bicycling, spending time visiting the ocean and listening to Garth Brooks and George Strait music. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Mr. Owens was born April 13, 1956 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Charles Owens and Mrs. Mary Louise Camp Owens of Springville, AL. He worked as an inspector for the U.S. Postal Service.

In addition to his father Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Anne Westbrook and his father-in-law, Carthol Larry Williams.

Richard A. AndersonRichard A. Anderson, age 85, of Nashville, TN, passed away surrounded by his loving family at St. Thomas Mid-Town on Friday, December 15, 2017.

He was born October 10, 1932, the son of the late Albert D. Anderson and Lorene Greenwell Anderson. He earned his B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University and his Masters in Education from East Tennessee State University. He was a retired high school teacher and coach of 39 years while residing in East Tennessee and Washington County. He was a man of tremendous faith, love of God and family, who was a true prayer warrior. He loved taking pictures and photos of his family which always ended up in a family photo album that he prized very much.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel on Monday, December 18, 2017, 11 AM with Pastor Richard Gaia officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the funeral home. Following the service on Monday, family and friends will gather at 1 PM for the interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. He was born April 26, 1934 in Nashville, TN to the late James Herbert Renfro, Sr and Ethel Turner Renfro.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lefevers Renfro; brothers, Dewey Turner, Jerry Renfro and sister, Barbara King.

He was a supervisor with Oshkosh a Veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean War and a member of Ivy Point Church of Christ. He loved his horses, camping, boating, fishing and running his dogs rabbit hunting.
