Obituary for Jennie Lee Henderson

floral squareJennie Lee Henderson, age 90 of Springfield, TN died Saturday August 13, 2016 NHC Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday August 15, 2016 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral with Bro. Martin Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Greg Morris, Brad Morris, Chuck Wilkerson, Malcolm Wilkerson, Joseph Traughber, Terry Henderson, Jay Henderson and Mitch Henderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2pm until 6 pm and again on Monday from 11 am until the hour of service at 1 pm.

Mrs. Henderson was born on October 14, 1925 in Old Hickory, TN to the late Charlie Oscar and Jewell Allen Lee. She was a member of the Woodland Street UMC and loved sewing and gardening. Her husband, Ewell E. Henderson, brothers, Charles Samuel Lee and Walter Edward Lee and sisters, June Lee Ashley and Dorothy Lee Trent also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Henderson of Cross Plains, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret H. Morris of Spring Hill, TN and Donna H. and Charlie Wilkerson of Springfield, TN; sister-in-law, Wilma Lee of Springfield; brother-in-law, J.T. Trent of Michigan; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Robertson County Funeral Home Is In Charge Of Arrangements.

Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Chase Smith, Ryan Entrekin, Blake Head, Clint Poole, Jeff Kimble, and Gerald Entrekin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born October 28, 1934 in Davidson County to the late William and Sarah Frizzell Smith. He retired as a Plant Manager with Georgia Durango and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed playing golf and mowing his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Poole Smith, and by his brothers: Monroe and Eugene Smith.

Interment followed in the Bellwood Cemetery with Andy Wilkerson, Jarrod Wilkerson, Branden Evans, Josh Evans, Rusty Haley and Henry Haley serving as Pallbearers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Rob Browning, Randy Perry, Del Perry, Jeff Burton and David Dickens, Jr. The family received friends on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Haley was born on January 5, 1929 to the late William Haney and Geneva Dickson Lee. Mrs. Haley was a homemaker and was member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. She loved to take care of people, devoted life to her family and loved to cook.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Haley; her sons: Roy Vick Flemming and David Young Haley, her brothers: William Lee, and Jimmy Lee, her sister: Frances Arms, and her grandsons: Little Robert Henderson, Ashley Haley, Bobby Ray Perry; and her great grandson, Justin Huckabee.

The family received friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilson was born December 30, 1932 in Robertson County to the late Thomas Irvin and Lena Rainwater Clinard. She was a homemaker and a member of Red River Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson loved gardening, flowers, quilting, going to Country Music shows, and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Haywood Wilson, her brothers: J.W., Thomas, and James Earl Clinard, and by her sisters: Rachel Brooksher, Frances Head, Louise Beard, and Pearlene Beard.

Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Chris Jones, Travis Grizell, Adam Hallman, Anthony Hallman, Derrick Scott, and Page Barker serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral Home.

Ernest was born July 20, 1939 in Robertson County to the late Ernest Arnold and Eva Jean Bruce Hallman. He worked for Page Barker Farms. Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he loved going to tractor pulls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Jones Hallman, by his brothers: William floral squareRichard and Walter Glenn “Pokey” Hallman, and by his sister: Edna Louise Hallman Trent.

Ernest is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy and Debbie Hallman of Grayson, KY, Bobby Joe and Vicki Hallman of Springfield, Eugene and Debbie Hallman of Adairville, KY, and by several nieces and nephews. Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Russell Couts and Mr. Travis Hale will be Honorary pallbearers. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 9am until the hour of service.

Mrs. Couts was born January 8, 1924 in Montgomery County to the late Luther and Ethel Shyer Halliburton. She was a homemaker and caregiver, a devoted Christian, a loving mother and a celebrated poet.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Couts is preceded in death by her husband, Moses Couts, her brother, Richard Halliburton, her twin sister, Christine Halliburton Chandler and her baby sister, Hula Mae Halliburton Smith and her son, Douglas Anthony Couts.

Mrs. Couts is survived by her sons, Russell Couts of Adams and Douglas Lee (Freida) Couts of Greenbrier; daughters, Kitty (Charles) Hale of Clarksville and Robin (Ronnie floral squareTate) Couts of Madison; grandchildren, Tabitha Duarte, Troy Hale, Travis Hale, Lori Dudley, April Maxwell, Jason Couts, Justin Couts and LeeAnn Julian; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Teasley was born July 11, 1931 in Robertson County to the late David Benjamin and Elizabeth Sue Adams Teasley. He worked as a truck driver at Consolidated Freight and was a member of the Head’s Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Teasley is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Fentress Teasley, his brother, Jim Teasley, sister, Nancy Watts and his granddaughter, Tracey floral squareTeasley. Mr. Munday was born May 23, 1943 in Nashville to the late Jesse and Ella Mae Pond Munday, Sr. He worked as a driver for UPS and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents Mr. Munday is preceded in death by his sister, Viola Groves, his brothers, Guy Munday and Paul Munday, his first wife, Doris Munday and his daughters, Katherine Munday and Bridgett Munday Wynns.
